Дробление акций
Выпуск новых акций меньшим номиналом взамен акций прежних выпусков. Увеличение количества акций компании не влечет за собой изменения ее капитализации. Например, двухкратное дробление акций номиналом в Ј1 (две акции за одну) означает, что число акций удваивается, и цена каждой из них уменьшается вдвое до 50 пенсов. При этом общая рыночная стоимость активов компании остается прежней. Целью такого дробления является снижение средней цены акции для облегчения ее реализации. Обратный процесс, когда акции меньшего достоинства меняются на акции более высокой номинальной стоимости, называется «reverse split». См. также Share capital.
